Overclocking Zotac's 2G GTX 1050 Mini

I'm gonna get a PC with these specs:

Pentium G4560
Zotac GTX 1050 Mini 2G
1x8 Crucial DDR4 2133 mHz
WD Caviar Blue 1TB HDD
EVGA 430W 80+
Sentey Carved V2 Micro ATX Case

I was thinking about OC the 1050. Seeing as it doesn't have an external power connector, how far could I OC without frying my MB?

Unlikely to fry your mobo. More likely it'll just freeze on you if it doesn't get enough power under heavy load.

I'm using this exact model of GPU and have been dabbling with the overclock trying to get a smoother framerate running Resident Evil 7 @ high settings. You can't overclock drastically as you'll see in the firestorm software the voltage setting is locked, however the max stable overclock I've been able to achieve with very good performance result are +148mhz to the GPU clock, and +105mhz to the memory clock. Anything over those settings the GPU would become unstable, however even that small boost is noticeable in my experience as the Zotac 1050 already overclocks its GPU clock by quite a bit. The overclock you add in firestorm is contributing to an already decent stock boost.

my old GTS 8800 from ZOTAC was OC freandly and so i searched 4 that Card and found this here.
After my GTX 560 was broken the last Days i searches a cheap Soloution....
and i think the 1050 is a realy good Option....
75 Watt (560 GTX 150 Watt) and double of Power

Have tryed Firestorm with the Numbers here...

brings arround 7% more in 3dMark 2011...
but.... that is not the end....
My last Test was
+ 200 MHz Clock
+ 175 MHz Memory
still STABLE in 3dMark2011
without any Voltage changes....
but the Benefit goes drastic down....
with my Stats im arround 9%+ ..... not realy more....

Temps arround 50 und cooler going up near 60 %
I will start Games now and test.....
maybe i can say more the next Days

Why does my mobo freeze, i was experiencing a similar problem with my PC

all the fans run but the PC wont start up, is it because my GPU isn't getting enough power?
