overclockng and temps

so i overclocked my core 2 quad q9300 2.5 ghz to 3.0 im getting full load core temps around 70 degress i was asking if this is normal and whats more important core temps or the tcase temp of the cpu

Well anything under 80*C is pretty safe.

80C is fine but high. Core temps are most important. If the core temp exceeds the core max (set by the manufacturer - usually 100C) it will throttle or fail.
