Overdrive freezing.

i have a xfx 5830. i cant over clock it at all. first i had to flash the bios to get my screens to stop stuttering. then i couldn't hold a 50 mhz oc on the core and a 100 on the memory. now i cant touch either one because over drive freezes. i can enable it and my screens still work. also i think the card is running a bit hot during gaming. i play bfbc2 and the card loads at 76C. last night i got a nice little bsod after the game kept freezing.

Not every video card has much headroom left, perhaps XFX already has already 'factory OC'd it' to 95% of it's ability from the box....

Interestingly, your particular make and model is quite capable of being OC'ed. What made you flash the BIOS and how did it come to what sort of stuttering?
What was the BIOS you flashed it with and where did you get it from?
Who instructed you to do such a thing?
And a GPUZ screenshot would be much appreciated at default config.
What monitor are you using and what resolutions do you play at? What do you use to connect the monitor (I mean which port)

i flashed it with the orignal bios. i just changed the clocks. so its at 800/100 all the time. i did it because i shut over drive off to stop the stuttering but it still put the card into a power saving setting. so it was running the card at 136/400 instead of 800/1000.

i have 2 19 inches 1 is 1280x1024 and the other is 1400x900.

dont tell me the flashing has anything to do with it because it dosent. i flashed the card back to its original bios and tried it and still nothing.
