Recentlyish I acquired a free Dell T100 poweredge from a monk who wasn't using it. All it needed was a hard drive and it was fully functional. I took the HD from my Inspiron 530 and plugged in the graphics card I was using for it (GeForce GT 730 from PNY) and I'm using the system to ask this question now.

It doesn't seem to have an audio system, is there a way that I can integrate one? Seems to be working (Literally as I typed that, however, the entire system shut down and restarted).

My Inspiron is kaput and I'm honestly not sure if/what the problem would be in trying to make this a functional system because, admittidly, this is my first personal build. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

(not sure if this is the place to add things)

I just finished a session of SWTOR on this and the visuals were fantastic, no FPS lost or anything. The system restart hasn't happened again, so, I'm not sure. Should I go ahead and get an external USB audio port? Would that even work?

Got it from a monk? Must be an odd story there. Anyway, it looks like it's more of a workstation. I'd probably up the RAM to the max supported of 8GB, I think it has ECC support but you would have to check. Such machines are touchy. Otherwise, plop in a Core 2 Duo and maybe a really cheap SSD and that's the furthest it can upgrade usefully. Oh, and a PCI sound card or dongle is needed.

Ahaha, not really. I'm a novice monk, went into an older monks room and he was cleaning out his closet, tossed it at me and said, "Good computer, needs hard drive, old server." I was like, "Uh, kthxbai" and threw it in another storage room until this morning.

Sorry, am total noob at all of this. Will these RAMs work in my system? I accidentally bought DDR3 and would rather not explode my system from what I can find.

Aren't the ones I posted DDR2? That's what their description says. But alright, I'll go looking again. Sorry for many noobling questions, I'm sure there's a simple manual out there I'm just not finding for this stuff
