Hi, I'm having an issue with my older pc with a FX8350, AMD Overdrive marks 2 degrees as thermal margin even when the cpu is in rest (only browser open). I'm using an Artic Freezer 13 as cpu fan and Corsair Carbride 01

Thanks so much

perhaps its a inaccurate reading? are your drivers, chipset, windows and whatnot all up to date? I cannot see it being a accurate reading , although it is possible. I had a FX6300 and when I swapped my stock cooler for a cooler master Hyper 212 Evo my temp readings went all whacky, although mine in the opposite direction saying I had over 60°C thermal headroom (on a CPU that maxes at 70°C this was very unlikely) the only way I was able to ever "see" normal type temperature readings while using the stock cooler, FX chips are bad at temperature readings at under 40°C so as off as this may sound, maybe the CPU is too cool and now not reading accurate temperatures, have you attempted a stress test to see if it shuts down, if it does over...

hmm, is this a new issue? or since you've replaced thermal paste? could it be cooler isn't seated properly?
It was always overheat but i think not at this point, have lot of months without using my pc to play videogames so I was not controling temps.

Checked fan and it's ok :(
