My GPU Fan is overheating, but the heat sink is not. I experiencing black screen for days and I already replace the thermal paste in my gpu, no change at all.

Does overheating fan gpu cause black screen?

Radeon HD7700 series

I already tried cleaning the GPU and the fan, Nothing works, also I re-installed drivers , still not working.

Switching to IGP no problem at all.

Any solutions?? Than buying a new graphics card

Thanks in advance

what exact is that mean?
how do you know is overheating?
what the full system spec? make and model of the PSU?
every time I play after mins, it will display black screen and computer freeze (I need to restart it)
It was overheating because when I touch it , it was really hot, really hot. I opened my gpu fan and clean it, same results, black screen but it was not overheating anymore.

Specs

APU A6-3500 2.1Ghz
8GB RAM
Radeon HD 7700 Series
PSU: ATX-600W
MBoard: A55M-P33 MS-7786

thank you, please give more further information.

It's normal for GPUs to get uncomfortably hot to the touch.

You should keep a monitoring software open to see how exactly hot it's getting, though.

A faulty/damaged GPU doesn't even necessarily need to be hitting temps that could be considered dangerous for it to crash, though.

I checked my GPU temperature using the Radeon Software, it was 41 Degree Celsius, and after 15 mins or 20, it goes black screen. It sounds stupid, but I compare my GPU fan and CPU fan by touching it, GPU fan was really hot that time but its okay now.

Should I go rollback to lower ver. of radeon hd 7700 driver? when it was in the latest driver, I was not encountering this black screen. Is it the GPU is already faulty? also, Im using this more than 3yrs.

Thank you for the help, I appreciate it
