Overheating issue with i7 core

My itel core i7 4790k is running at 80 degrees Celsius on idel please help

ok, what cooler do you have, when did it start running hot ?

Time to change your thermal paste.

I was running a antec khuler h20 950 however I changed it to theveryone standard itel cooler because it was running at 75oC but when I changed it there was little to no difference

I assume you used thermal paste, soooo maybe throttling ?

Possibly. My pc will shut down while in game

well the shutting down would be it over heating, I wouldn't suggest running it if temps are that high, could cause permanent damage if the issue isn't with the cpu itself
