I wanna start out saying this laptop has ran everything I threw at it 60fps but recently I did a factory reset and ever sense it overheats while gaming and I get drops in fps?
Have you checked your hdd or the fans? Or does this only happen when you are gaming? If it does, try changing the game to use your discrete gpu if it has one. The factory reset may have caused the profiles to be reset which may have caused it to use the igpu instead of the dgpu.
Then I am not sure. The only thing I could think of is that the laptop has dust which could be slowing it down or your wifi is slow if it is occurring during multiplier gameplay.

try loading the latest gpu drivers and see if it makes any difference.
