I have a gtx 650 1GB
it reaches 79-80 Celsius even at a low end game like:
Gmod
7 days to die

I also have 10gb of ram and a core i3

Does anyone know why these stuff happens?

Hello... I flashed a 40% idle speed Fan curve to my gtx760... it's little louder at idle, but my GPU never seems to reach 70's now, VS the 30% idle speed curve, 80's was common.
Try GPU-z and start the data logger in it to see your Fan speeds, power and temps... also post a screen shot of the GPU setting screen for us. https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/
Hello... 80 c is the limit I aim for on my GTX760... it is the hardest working energy eating part in your computer case when gaming.
There are two types of Air Fan Coolers used, they externally exhaust the air outside your case or they just re-circulate into your case.

1) As a "simple test" remove a cover off your case and re-check your GPU temps... maybe you need a well place fan to remove more HOT air out of your case.

I know why it happens.

First of all the system should be cleaned from dust buildup about every six months of use.
If the 650 card it`s self has been in the system for more than a year to two years plus.

Then the cause is dust buildup between the fan of the card and the cooling vents of the cooling solution of the graphics card. It needs the fan shroud removing and a good dusting if not done for along time.

Also after about two or more years the TIM between the cooling solution and the Gpu of the card dries out. causing high temperatures with the graphics cards Gpu.

It really needs to be taken apart and cleaned off both the Gpu die of the card and the underside of the cooling solution contact plate of the heat sink of the card.

And fresh Tim applied, then put back together.

The problem is, Pc cases are like vacuum cleaners with the fans of the case pulling air in,Including dust.
Since the card is a GTX 650 it points to the system or the card being a few years old in theory.
So the recommendation to give it a clean at least and check for dust buildup and re application of thermal compound on the Gpu of the card to lower the temps for you Melonator.

Well my pc is just a year old, and my gpu is 2 months old. i cleaned it a few weeks ago
And still the same
