Overheating Problem

Hello, i have this issue with my graphics card its only like 5-6 weeks old, it's a MSI 1GB RADEON 7850.. and all it does is like to overheat, before i start playing games i do use MSI afterburner to bum my GPU Fan to around 65% ive noticed it shuts down between 50-55c and i don't understand why it does that.. i know some peoples gpu can go up to 100c before even shutting off..

i have a 600WATT Psu just incase people think that i don't have big enough PSU

From what I have seen, this card can have issues at higher resolutions, even falling behind a 7770 in performance. Try dialing back your settings a bit and remove any overclocking. If the problem persists contact MSI for an RMA.

What do you mean by shutting down? Games freeze, computer freezes? Or does the application just close? Does it get to 55 degrees when just at idle or is that during a game? If that is when the card is under stress, that is actually a good temp. Are you by chance running any other hardware monitoring software besides afterburner? Something could be telling the computer to shut off when it hits that temperture. Also, instead of just setting the fan to 65%, I'd recommend using the user defined fan profile in afterburner...the default fan curve is good enough for your setup....I prefer to have the fan speed update every 2000 miliseconds (2 seconds).
