Question Overheating since RAM change

So about a week ago one of my RAM sticks failed so I bought some new RAM from Crucial. All seemed fine but since the change if I play games or do anything a little more taxing the display on my monitor will suddenly cut out and display "no signal". The tower is still running and I can still hear the game playing over the speakers. I'm assuming this is my graphics card overheating. It has never done this before and this had only started since I changed the RAM. Gonna open it up again today and make sure there is no dust in it. But is there anything else that would explain the sudden change since the RAM change?

That doesn’t sound like an overheating gpu. I’d run MemTest on your new RAM for 4 passes, let us know if there are any issues.

Oh okay. I'll do that. Assumed that since the video cuts out it was an overheating graphics card. Thanks
