im trying to transfer a 4gb file from my laptop (MSI GL62M 7RD 046NE) to a usb drive (kingston DT100G3/128) and while doing so 25% way in the pc suddenly uses 80-100% on the usb and also hits 70C degrees on Motherboard and CPU while still only transferring with a speed of 400KB/s

Solution
Because the CPU is under heavy load.

I don't know the reason why. When dealing with a faulty secondary drive. Windows and Mac OS hit high CPU usage. Making them slow or unresponsive.

As your transfer speed is very slow. An equipment malfunction is the usual cause.
