Hello all,

I will soon be returning from my deployment overseas and was looking to build an awesome rig that will last me at least 3-5 years, can do 4K or VR with zero issues, and is kind of overkill but future proof with dx12 etc.

So first, am I missing anything that I would need to include that I don't have listed in here, like fans, paste, etc, new to the idea of Liq Cooling, do you need anything specific for that as well? Extra pin connectors etc.

Also I wanted to get the new 960 Pro 2TB SSD but it isn't out till October supposedly. So for the time being I just put that SSD in. Also is their anything in this build that will bottleneck something, I want to make sure I have max performance.

Thanks for the opinions and help!

CPU - The i7-6800k will overclock the same and costs less. The only difference is the base clock and turbo speeds as they come out of the factory...
CPU COOLER - Look toward NZXT for a large AIO.
MB - That is a serious MB for just SLI and a few drives.
MEM - 64GB is a lot. Consider 32GB for now knowing you can always add up to 32GB more down the road.
SSD - Look toward the M.2 form factor.
GPUS - Unnecessary and overkill unless you are going for the "cool factor". Look toward a GTX 1080 with a good air cooler that has the same (or similar) factory overclock.
PSU - A quality 850w model will do it..
OPTICAL - Um... just going to change this to the exact same thing, but at a third the cost.
SOUND CARD - Not needed.
OS - No need for Pro unless you are going to be putting this PC on a network / domain.
CASE FANS - Overclocking and SLI, you will need a few to move that hot air around. Promote a front-to-back airflow.. Front / bottom / side intake, and top / rear exhaust. Look toward fans under 20dbA for low noise.

I see, well clearly I wasn't looking for a budget build or anything the money isn't the issue, and I wanted it as overkill ha. I prefer the 64gb of ram, the 1000w was just in case with the overclocking etc I wouldn't get close to power consumption, SSD I'm going to rock the new 960 Pro when it's released, I just want to make sure everything goes with everything and I have zero issues with it, and I can game on 4K do VR etc on max settings with also no issues.

But it is crazy seeing $1000 difference.
