Hi,

I'm looking for some help with the Windows registry fix for AMD's continuous overscan settings reset problem. There's a fix posted here, but I need some help with it.

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/359424-33-catalyst-overscan-setting-restart-issue

Go to the following key in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\video{####....}\0000

Create a new DWORD:

"DigitalHDTVDefaultUnderscan" = dword 0x0000

I made a new dword named: DigitalHDTVDefaultUnderscan. Then I'm not sure what else to do, specifically with the '= dword 0x0000' part of his post. If anyone can walk me through that last part, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thank you.

When I applied the same fix, after creating the dword the value was already set automatically but with one fewer zero. I just left it as-is and exited and rebooted. It has been working fine since then. Hopefully someone will post a reply... if the additional zero is necessary.
