Hi, I have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for the last couple of days and I can't figure it out. When playing overwatch, after around 15-30 min of game-play my computer randomly hard resets itself as if the power went out. This only occurs on overwatch, and has never occurred before until recently - maybe 2 weeks ago. This issue does not occur when doing anything else, nor when playing League of Legends.

I have stress tested my CPU and it appears to be working fine and temperatures are good as well. The RAM memory test also passed. I have not tested the GPU yet but temperatures during overwatch are only around 60C. I have system restored to a date when I believe I did not have this issue as reseated my RAM. I updated all my drivers as well. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled overwatch as well. Nothing seems to have fixed this issue. It does appear that theres a longer period of time before the random restart when the computer has not been used for a while as opposed to right after a restart. I have no idea what is going on and any advice would be phenomenal. Thank you all very much!

My Specs:
CPU: 6800k
Ram: 32 GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000
GPU: Asus Strix 1080
Cooler: Corsair h115i
PSU: EVGA 850 P2
Motherboard: MSI x99a Gaming 9 ACK
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO

Go into the event viewer and go to windows logs right after you boot back up after the hard reset. You will most likely want to select the system option and find the errors and then you can google how to fix those. Is it just restarting or is it also giving you a BSOD?

Thanks for the quick response! Ill take a look at the event viewer. I have never done this before so any advice on what I should be looking for? And there is no BSOD, it just turns off and back on really quick as if someone yanked the power plug and put it back in right away.

I thought about this and I ran the system on stock but it still had the same issue. Interestingly enough it worked fine before while overclocked until recently so I'm not too sure what is going on.

Thanks for the response! I do not have my GPU overclocked except for the little gaming profile that is involved with the included Asus GPU program. But this has not been an issue before recently as well.
