Okay guys, every day that passes I get closer to getting all the parts I need to build my PC. So naturally, every day that passes I also get a little bit more anxious that the moment is gonna come where my thick skull tries to relay some messages to my fat fingers to get some stuff done. But before my head suddenly decides to have a little autonomy in the building process instead of being more diligent and using a search engine. I thought I'd pose these questions:
1) I have an upcoming build that have a Superflower Leadex II 650W PSU and whilst searching for pictures of it to tease myself a little bit before opening the box, I realized wow. This things got a lot of cables. So based on the few videos I've watched on PC building, I noticed that since I have both a SATA SSD and HDD, I will need: 1 x 20+4 Pin power connector for the MOBO(presumably plugged into the PSU at the placed labeled Motherboard) and the rest of these plugged into the PSU under Universal: 1 x 4+4 Pin power connector for the CPU, 2 SATA connectors for the SDD and HDD and I honestly hope this doesn't sound like a stupid question but since if my GPU had a 6+8 Pin slot, should I then connect one 6+2 Pin PCIE cable into the "Universal" section on my PSU and into the 8 Pin slot on the GPU, AND another 6+2 Pin PCIE cable into another "Universal" section and plug the 6 pins into the remaining 6 pins on the GPU?
2) Does it matter which one of the Universal places I choose to connect to the component? And just to be sure, the CPU's 4+4 Pin should be connected to these as well right?

I'm really wanna be sure about the GPU thing though. Also, am I missing anything else? Should I run an out of the case boot test by the way cause if it doesn't post, I'm sure I'd be equally stupefied whether it happened in or out the case.

Solution
ok you see motherboard , there are 2 sockets, you need to plug in both sockets , that goes to the 24 pin of the motherboard.

about the universal holes, I think youre right but I would read the manual for certain.

neverthless about the gpu, yes you need to connect 2x 6+2 pin yes 2 cables thats why the 2x .

stupid questions dont exist.
your post is confusing, but I can summarize it for you in abc language.

1) the leadex its a top quality psu and comes with all the cables you need for your build

2) yes it matters how you attach the cables, theyre not universal.

If you are not certain about something, dont do it and ask for help on this topic, we will help you through the building process.

Ahh yes, sorry for the confusing post but very simply. the back of my psu has a few sockets. theres a large one labeled M/B which seems like it is very likely for the MOBO. then every other socket simply has universal as its description. So does that mean that as long as i'm using the right connector for the component. i.e. sata connector for my storage drives, the other end should go into any socket on PSU that isnt the mobo socket?

And about the GPU question. If i have the 980ti for example and it needs 2 x 6+2 pins. do i use 2 cables connecting directly from the psu to the gpu?i.e. the cables go into different sockets in the PSU and theres not a splitter? or is there some sort of special cable that i'm not getting that connects from one psu socket to both the 6+2 pins i need. i mean it seems like a really stupid question but i just really dont want to mess anything up
