P2B with Celeron 400@600 and 100 FSB problems

Hi there!

Well, I am trying to get my P2B (Rev. 1.10, BIOS 1012) running on a 100 MHz FSB with a Celeron 400 MHz.

It worked with a 75 MHz FSB a 83 MHz FSB, but I dont't like the 83 because of the out of spec running PCI and 75 doesn't make a big difference.

With FSB set to 100 MHz (and AGP to 2/3) the system is not booting. No picture and no beep.

Then I tried to push the voltage to 2.2 V and I think it worked (entered BIOS in 66 MHz Mode and it said 2.2 [Err]). Thought the Err thing means it runs out of spec. It also got a some degrees warmer.
But still the same when it comes to booting with 100 MHz FSB, no picture no beep.

I tried the B21-Trick to, but that didn't make any difference as expected.

Any suggestions on what else I could do?

Greetings,
Gundy

Nothing. The ABSOLUTE MAX overclock for a "perfect" Celeron is 600MHz. Normally you can't get much past 550. The newer Celrons (FC-PGA) are actually Coppermines, like the PIII, and can go over 850.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
