I just got a new Asus CUSL2 Mobo w/ a p3 933. Right now it's running at 1099mhz and around 130 degrees F or around 50 degrees C. I was wondering what the limit on temp is for a p3. Thx for the help

 More power? Hell yah!

Depending on the CPU, your max core temp would be 72C-75C.

I would definitely try to keep it well below this though. Typical operating temp is in the 30s.

improve your case air circulation , thus keeping the case temperature down can also reduce your CPU temp by quite a bit. typically, install at least 1 fan at the front for intake and 1 at the back of the case for exaust.

well I did some work on it... I've got it running stable at 1099mhz @ 39 degrees C. So far it has all been with boosting the fsb. So I'm thinking that maybe tommorow I might mess around with the clock multiplier and see how it works out.

is there any way of unlocking a P3 933 at all... I have a P3 933, asus CUV4X mobo and ledgend SD PC133 ram. I cannot OC it much at all before it stops booting... I head that this was due to really bad via chip sets on my mobo...???

Can someone please explain "system/pci frequency (MHz)" OK... I know the first is the FSB but why are certian FSBs only available with certian PCI freequencies? and what does the PCI frequency help...do??

Thanx i advanced
