SLK947U, or SP94, with 92mm Papast or Panaflo fan. Or CNPS7000-CU.

-Intel PIV 2.6C @ 3.575G -Asus P4P800 -OCZ Copper 2x256 4000EL memory @ 275mhz 3-4-4-8 -Sapphire 9800np @ 432/760 -SB audigy -120G Maxtor Diamond Plus9 S-ATA150 hdd -450 Enermax PSU

Or a CNPS7000-AlCu, since those are better than the Cu.

Yep, definatly the CNPS7000-AlCu as it is much lighter than the CNPS7000-Cu and is great for silent cooling. i bought one last week.

2.4C @ 3.0G
Asus P4C800
Corsair 2x512 3200
Sapphire 9600pro @ 500/700
80G Seagate S-ATA150

The only site where I saw a direct comparison said the AlCu also cooled better!

I purchased the Zalman CNPS-7000AL-CU, while it is relatively quiet, it seems mediocre in performance, on my P-4 3.0c cpu my temp readings are 43-44c idle, with the case cover off. I would highly suggest that you get either the Thermalright 947-U, or the SP-94 as Scottchen recomended. As i am going to purchase also,(any body want to buy any Zalman products one slightly used CNPS-7000AL-Cu? can't rma it as I had it sitting around for awhile also the CNPS6500B-Alcu,P-4 to 2.8Ghz, zalman heatpipe with fan, don't remember the model #.Both brand new never used.)

I have that casetek towerCK-1019 I bought at Newegg, the aluminum one with the side window(I believe that it's sold out now)I think that it's an airflow problem, as the front 2 fans are blocked somewhat becayse of their positioning.

I apologize. I was'nt that clear, the only reason my temps are slightly lower than your temps is because that I have my case cover off. with it on, My cpu P-4 3.0c was at about46-47c, (needs better airflow.) I think this case is almost exactly like the Xaser-III config.Since they are sold out of this case at Newegg,(Casetek CK-1019)I lucked out it was only $50.00, I think that this case by Thermaltake (minus the Hard-cano and something) is over a $100 any way that at least will give you a visual

right now my cpu temps with the standard p4 cooler in a Lian-Li PC-6077 case is 31c
the asus card is running around 40c I haven't put the left side on yet cause i'm still working on the system.

Man, thats what I'm talking about.I keep hearing about low temp readings, like yours and I've got my stock cooler for the 3.0c on my old willamette P-4 1.8ghz.and it brings it down to 43c at idle, about 55cload gaming. Not great but, acceptable.I am trying to purchase a couple of stock 3.2c P-4 coolers on e-bay,so that Ialso can achieve some of those low temps, man some of those reviews that I read on the Zalman coolers (ihave two of em)seem like a bunch of BS

Sure, I'm broke, but I can scrape up $10 for that cooler if you want to sell it.

Hmm, I don't know now if I want to sell it now as I was thinking about using it on my soyo dragon mobo,Ihad sitting around.(CNPS-7000AL-cu)however if your talking about the CNPS-6500B-ALCu, let me think about it. sorry ittook this long to answer you,(out and about) however I will consider it, I have a friend of mine has a killer deal on a new oem 9800pro128mg he said he wanted $50 for (I can't believe it!)that I'm gonna try to barter for if not, I'll def. let you know sir.

I decided to keep it,sir, as I don't plan to overclock(yet)I am going to try to modify it,as Idon't think that Zalman is offering any fan kits for the CNPS-7000A,I definitely don't want to get on your badside sir!But I'm gonna keep it on my GA-8KNXP for now.still trying to barter for that oem 9800-pro my friend has.But it sounds too good to be true
