I have an MSI 865PE Neo-2Platinum board that supports p4 with HT technology

the thing is, when i check the BIOS it says HyperThreading function is disabled... should that be enabled?

If you have a P4 thats HT enabled, then that BIOS setting should be turned on for you to experience the HT feature. Otherwise its not necessary.

Some motherboards can detect what operating system you have and they will turn on or off the hyperthreading feature automatically.

If you have Windows XP and a P4 that supports Hyperthreading, then enable it.

u might have to reinstall windows XP to use HT after u enable it. Bcos it will use a diff kernel file then.
