I booted up my home-built PC for the first time. The mobo is an Abit BD-7 RAID and the CPU is a Northwood 1.8 Ghz. I am using the thermaltake P4 478 Volcano heatsink. At idle, (in the BIOS) i am getting 39 degrees Celsius. I have two antec fans that came with my case. Is this temp okay.

Thanks

nice temp. P4's are good up to 72 Celcius according to intel. After that they auto step down their speed to fascilitate better cooling. At ~120 they shut down automatically.

my temperature is 54(idle) n 64(full load) is that ok? is there anything i can do? i'm using the intel (sanyo denki) stock fan with 2 (80*80mm) fans blowing heat out of the casing...

Pls advice.

The best way to set up a case is with at least two fans pulling air in at the front of the case and two at the rear
blowing hot air out. Your temps are high. Recheck your heatsink mount. If you take it off clean off the thermal pad and use artic silver.
