CPU: Pentium 4 511 (x64 compatible)
RAM: 1x 1GB + 1x 512 MB DDR1 (OC'd to 533 MHz)
Motherboard: Intel D101GGC
Graphics: ATI Radeon XPress 200 (256 MB)
HDD: 80 GB
PSU: 430 Watt
PCIe: TV Tuner +
Monitor: CRT @ at 1152 x 864 resolution

I'm going to swap the 512 MB RAM for a 1GB RAM (ie. 2GB total) and am going to get an NVidia geforce 210 1GB. Install Windows 8 x64. or Windows 7 x64.

Will I see a significant performance change in it? Does Geforce 210 support the 4 pin PSU connector?

I'll be playing games released <=2006 on ultra, <=2009 on medium, <=2013 on low. And, if possible I'll overclock the geforce 210 card while adding another case fan.

PS: I know I have to make a new build, but that I'll be doing next March. So, until then I'm going to tweak this machine.

Considering your going from 1.5GB of RAM to 2GB, and upgrading integrated mobo graphics to the low end of several generations ago, I wouldn't expect to see much in terms of a performance boost.

The GT210 doesnt need a PCI-e 4pin, it powers itself solely off of the PCI-e interface.

You really need to just get an all new system, that ones old to the point where you just cant upgrade it. To be honest I'm surprised you can even still buy DDR1 RAM.

i'm just as surprised as manofchalk, there are better graphics for the money, tomshardware has a good "best for the buck" thing on graphics cards.... 6670 or 7750 dont require a 4 pin....

or maybe just buy a great PSU and a modern graphics card and re-use it when you build a new system.

Lolzz.. I mentioned it right at the end of my post that, I'll be getting a newer build next march. At the time, the market would be somewhere else. So, I don't want to waste a lot of money. I'll use this one for legacy gaming (Hardly any game after 2010 would run in geforce 210 - even on low) + programming + movie watching + my parents can use it + as a home server + BOINC.
