Hi

I was wondering if you need to use the ddr2700(CL2.0) to get decent overclocking abilites with the asus333sis.Will ddr2100(CL2.5)work?.

I use 3 3dprograms.My one program realsoft3d is considered a very intense render. It will be using full cpu load 10 hours a day for rendering. Can this be a problem with overclocking to 2.4?.

Thank you for your time

Worse yet. The only way to get near RDRAM performance with DDR is to have it at DDR333 speed. PC2100 won't overclock that far. Even PC2700 needs to be backed down to a lower ratio in order to allow for overclocking. If you back down from the 100/166 setting to the 100/133 setting, you can overclock the bus to 125/166 before your memory is back up to the DDR333 speed, but instead of getting true overclock performance (as in, what you would get with overclocked memory) you'll end up with stock P4 2.2A performance.

The best choice is low density Samsung RDRAM, which can be overclocked by 33%, giving you 33% faster memory to go with your 33% faster CPU when you overclock from 1800 to 2400.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
