P4C800 Problems

I just installed a new P4C800 MB to replace my Intel 865GBF MB and have come
upon 4 problems I'm having trouble solving. The first is on boot-up I get a
message that no bios is installed. I made a successful install of the
latest bios from Asus but I still see the same message. Doesn't seem to
affect anything but the message is bugging me.

Problems two and three are somewhat related. Once WinXP is up I get two
messages about new hardware detected and drivers need to be installed. The
first is "Multimedia Audio Controller." I installed the audio drivers off
the install CD and the sound works but this doesn't satisfy the system. The
second new hardware device is "Promise Sata Console SCSI Processor Device."
I'm not using any SCSI devices and would like to turn this off or install
drivers to get rid of this constant message.

Problem 4 concerns the USB connections. USB is enabled and yet my USB
printer, mouse and keyboard don't work. Device Manager say everything is
working properly and USB is enabled in the bios but still nothing works.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I believe that Promise RAID controller arrays appear as a SCSI device.

If you want to turn this off, go into BIOS, "OnBoard Devices Configuration",
and set "OnBoard Promise Controller" to Disabled.

Lets get the problems One at a time:
First problem you've mentioned is some message about a BIOS which hasn't
been loaded.
That BIOS is the RAID-BIOS from your Onboard Promisse controller, and the
BIOS isn't loaded due to the fact that no disks are detected. You don't
have to worry about that, but you can also disable the RAID-controller in
the BIOS.
The second thing you've mentioned: You need to load Multimedia sound
drivers.... I guess that this requires another driver, par exemple a
TV-Capture card, or some other device in your PC?
The third: this one is related to the first problem, and when you've
disabled the RAID chip in your BIOS, you've solved part three too :)
And at last: the not working USB headers:
Check how many ports you've enabled in the BIOS of your Mobo... AFAIK you
can enable them all (8 ports).
Install the correct USB2 Drivers (In Windows XP you need to install SP1 in
order to do that...

Disabling the promise controller in BIOS took care of problems 1 & 3. I
uninstalled the SoundMax drivers already installed and installed the drivers
from the Asus website and presto, problem 2 was taken care of. And for some
unknown reason the USB ports now work. They refused to work earlier today
and I did nothing but now their working fine.

OK, on this USB port, the e deluxe version board, I have all 8 activated and
the printer, a USB 4 post hub, Saitek X-45's and even the 256MB Sandisk work
fine in any ports. But, my Webcam and HP 3500 Scanner wont work. It see's
then and loads the drivers but they don't respond. Could this be a USB 1.1
Vs 2.0 version issue? Sorry, XP Pro -w- SP1 and all current fixes.

Obviously *NOT* all current fixes as your clock isn't even correct.

Delayed response due to the power supply issue in a different string, but,
Yes, all current "fixes" were downloaded and installed. The clock was
correct for my location and time zone and when the message. As your in a
different time zone and country your point is incorrect. Exactly what fix is
there that effect's the system clock under Windows XP.
