Hi there. I bought one of these P4S8x-x boards and it was bad.
I got it replaced by ASUS with a new board and it is bad too!!!
All it will do is some bad sounding beeps, no video, nada,
zilch nothing. Anyone know if this is a problem with
these boards. I'm awaiting a reply from ASUS re a third
board. All other boards from ASUS have been awesome.
Thanks for your thoughts.

What exact processor are you plugging into it ?

Is the processor you are using supported ?

What is the beep pattern ?

The original P4S8X had trouble running a 3.06GHz/FSB533 processor,
due to the Vcore circuit. The P4S8X-X is supposed to have
fixed that.

I have a P4S8X-X on one of my rigs. It will run the 3.06GHz FSB533, but only
with Hyperthreading Disabled. Otherwise it randomly BSODS with various
errors.

WRT the original post, never had a beep problem with it. What's the Beep
Pattern (Check your manual for the error)
