Need to give more details to track down whether or not it is a power issue
on the motherboard.
Do you see anything on screen when you power up the system?
When you press the power-on button, does the system even perform the POST
(power-on-self-test)? For example, checking RAM is part of POST. If it does
perform POST but failed to complete it, does it beep?
Did you make any changes to the BIOS just before this happened?
Did you flash the BIOS just before this happened?
Did you make any hardware changes recently or just before this happened?
Does the hard drive make any sound at all when the system is powered up?
To answer the next question, you may need to open up the case if necessary,
and watch the CPU fan before you turn on the power. (If you are not a hw
techie,
be careful not to touch anything inside.)
If it does not even perform POST, does the CPU fan (or any system fan) spin
at all?
Does the fan(s) attempt to spin for even a microsecond?
