P5B Deluxe temp ranges

I'm running a core 2 duo 6400, OC'd to 2.936 Ghz with stock cooling, cpu is fine doesn't go higher than 53ºc under load and living in New Zealand and it thus being summer the ambient temperature is higher, However my motherboard seems to be running quite how and got up to 45ºc the other day with an average of about 40ºc.

Is this as hot as it sounds, if so is there much I can do about it, or is it likely to cause any problems or result in any damage?

Dosen't seem extreamily high.
If you are worried about it you can put a fan on the NB hs.
Also check your case and make shure you have enough ventilation.
