Hello,
I have a P5K motherboard, with two hard drives attached to it. I would like two separate drives, meaning one for boot/programs, and the second for data (-> no raid).
Right now the boot drive is attached to the SATA1 connector, and the data drive to the SATA3. A DVD player is on SATA2. All drives are recognized in the BIOS correctly.
So I installed XP Home on the 1st drive, and it works fine. However, the 2nd drive does not appear in Windows Explorer. It is there in the device manager, and seems to have no problem, but I cannot access it (also, it has never been formatted). Any ideas why? Did I make wrong connections on the SATA?
Thanks for any help,
Mel
