I just received some of the remaining parts for my core 2 build. I purchased the P5N32-SLi SE and the Core 2 Extreme. While reading the specs on the board it states that it supports SLi in x16 mode for a full bandwidth of 32x while in SLI.

I know some of us been trying to find a board that does this and here is one. Aparently this board has been updated significantly. Tomorrow on thursday i will receive my ddr2 memory and will be putting everything together. The vid cards are EVGA 7900GT KO.

Just a little FYI and before you flame me about this has been posted 6 trillion times i havnt seen it and from the reviews i read this board was supposed to be x8 in sli.

peace.

I'm not really sure that 2x16 = 32x, but from what I can find you seem to have found a gem.

Please let us know how it works in practice. I'd be especially interested in MB chipset temps...

Never seen that.
It's just your plain nForce4 SLI 16x Intel Edition with updated Conroe VRM.

I think it was anandtech who did the review on this thing. Ill look around again. But i was hesitant becuz i wanted to wait for 590 simply becuz of conroe and sli x16.

Im not sure about the x32 either but this information was in the first few pages of the features list for the MB. They made a point through the features to make several bolded notes to specifically state the x16 in sli mode. I know theres always paper and practice so i get my memory this afternoon and will put it al together. Is there any program that can test the bandwidth being used? Will sisoft sandra report this info? I left a post in the General Home built section with everything i purchased for this build.

From reading the bios features it seems like an overclocking beast, almost everything thats in the 590 bios is in this one. It also came with extra fans that you attach to the chipset heatsinks.

Anyhow ill post later when i get up and running. Wish me luck!

I stand corrected i just read the anandtech review and it said that it supports x16. I couldhave sworn i read somewhere it didnt, but it may have been from being innundated by catching up with all this new technology information.
