P5NE-SLI S775 NF650I-SLI
is this a good motherboard for a gaming pc? with Crucial 2GB kit (1GBx2) DDR2 PC2-4200, an a e6600. plus can i use an ati x1950 pro with this? plus does it allow for use with crossfire?

thank you

SLI is Nvidia. Crossfire is ATI. So.......then.......SLI board is not for Crossfire 😉

Other than that, it's a decent mobo. But why Crossfire? Just get a single slot PCI-e......there are better mobo choices than the P5N......and then when the 1950pro can't keep up anymore, just get a new card that will suck less power, produce less heat, will beat 2 cards in Crossfire, and is DX10 as well. Win-win right there. Crossfire in your case......bad move.

ah right, i got the x1950 pro because it was better than the 7900 gs. for a mid range. and i though 2 graphics cards is better than one. so seems like ima have to kepp my x1950 pro and when its gets too old with its dx9. ill get the 8800 gtx or gts, sli maybe.
could you suggest a mobo which is betteee with one pci e for around the same price?

ASUS P5B-E. Very good, solid board, great reputation, good layout, great overclocker.

Gigabyte GA-P965-DS3. Proven winner. Not picky with RAM, easy to overclock, good BIOS, stable, extremely popular, very affordable.

Those are probably the preferred top 2 around these parts, I doubt anyone would really disagree for that price range.
