Hey so I just built a new system and I'm having a few problems.
1: No sound - I ran the setup audio test and I can hear the White Noise but thats it also I an get the audio through the HDMI output of my video card.
2: RAM not showing in "View System Information" - in the Bios it show that I have 8124mb usable ram but in the View system info it shows only 3.25GB of ram.
ok the ram is because Im running Win XP is there a fix for this??

System Spec:
MB: Asus P5Q3 Deluxe
CPU: Core 2 Quad 2.83GHz @ 1333
RAM: Corsair 2GB DDR3 w/total of 8GB (4x2GB)
Video: Radeon HD4870 1GB Diamond ser.
OS: Win XP Pro

Thanks
Will

Have you checked your BIOS settings to see if memory remap is set to enable?

BIOS Setup -> Advanced -> Chipset/Memory -> Memory Remapping = Enable

First off dallasjoh thanks for all your help!!
So in bios It is Enabled and says
PCI MMIO Allocation: 4GB to 3328MB
right below it but not that give me any options to change anything.

Download CPU-Z and see what speed your memory is running at and how much it shows is installed. You can get it at this link.

So I got the 64Bit ver. and now it shows all 8GB and my sound is working again so it looks like all is good now I just trying to see if the system is worth the money I upgraded

From - To
ASUS P4P800-E - Asus P5Q3 Deluxe
Intel P4 - Core 2 Quad
3GB Ram - 8GB Ram
128Mb ATI All-in-one Video card - 1GB ATI HD4870 Diamond Ser.
500Watt PS - 1000Watt PS

and I most say It does seem to work really well when I push tested it but is reall slow to boot and when I was extracting a 4GB file it seem to take longer now then when I had 32Bit running
maybe I'm just :pt1cable: Crazy
Thanks again for all your help

One last thing any tips to getting a system to run faster then Default Im scared to Overclock because I already run this thing 24/7 and most of the time harder then I should I killed my last computer in 3 years I was told it should have lasted longer..
