Hey guys.
First of all I would like to greet everyone and apologize for my poor English.

So, My friend has this motherboard: ASUS P5QL/EPU.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5QLEPU/specifications/ i checked and found that maximum memory support is 16GB. But, does it really supports 16gb?

Also, I checked this: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5Q/specifications/ It says that max memory support is 16gb and then sow this: "**When installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Hence, a total installed memory of less than 3GB is recommended."

If my friend puts 16gb of ram in his mobo, does it really supports it or not?

Solution
Finding 4GB sticks of DDR2 ram will be a serious challenge in this day and age, even if you do find them, the cost of each stick(per a kit) will be equivalent to buying DDR3/DDR4 ram kits with higher frequency/specs.

What the additional info on your motherboard support page says is that you will need an 64bit version of Windows's operating system in order to recognize more than 3GB of ram installed on the system.
