Does anyone know if it's possible to boot Windows from a SATA drive connected to a SAS ports on the P6T WS Pro? I'm trying to test if the port is working but I can't boot Windows with an SSD plugged into that port.
You should connect your primary boot drive to the SATA ports native to the chipset, not the Marvel 88SE6320 SAS controller's connectors. Furthermore, per you manual(page 2-28), the SAS ports gain functionality only and only when you get into Windows environment(after a RAID option is setup off the Intel chipset), meaning it's functionality is limited to a certain number of steps.
