I've got a few questions about my P6X58D-E motherboard, in my first home built system if put together 4 months ago.

I installed a new Crucial C300 SSD (CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1) yesterday, and my RMA'd WD Caviar Black (WD1002FAEX) drive arrived today. Both drives are 6 GB/s drives. The 6 GB/s ports on this board are controlled by the Marvell 9128 Controller. In the bios it lets you set the controller to IDE or AHCI. I set it to AHCI when I installed the SSD, but I don't believe the HDD works with AHCI? If that is correct, is their any way to set the other port to IDE mode? Or do I need to plug the HDD into a Sata 3GB/s port, and set the jumper on the HD to limit it to 3 GB/s?

Also I have 3 x 2GB sticks of Crucial Ballistix DDR 3 1600 ram (BL3KIT25664BN1608) . It's Cas 8 with 8-8-8-24 timing. I've never set it up in the bios to run at 1600 and would like to know how. It doesn't make sense not to use it to it's potential, I've just been a little leery of messing around with stuff in the bios I'm not 100% sure on.
