Hello there and I hope this writing finds you in excellent health.

i hope you can assist me with this problem - many thanks in advanced.

I am using this p6x58d-e motherboard - for several years by now - with an i7-980 1st generation cpu.

{ The system:

ASUS p6x58d-e ,
OCZ revodrive 3x2 @ 250 gb pci-e ssd ,
GIGABYTE silent cell vga adapter ,
6 sticks of KINGSTON ram (detailed bellow ) ,
3 WESTERN DIGITAL caviar black sata hdd -
Two of them in RAID 0 ( marvel on board 9128 raid ) ,
NOKTUA d-140 two vents cpu cooler ,
THERMAL TAKE tough-power 850w power supply unit.

}

few weeks ago I updated my windows 10 with their auto update then my system started to act weird on me and it was no longer operative at all until I pushed manual values to ram def. in BIOS. according to the following guidance which helped a lot eventually to get the system going - but with 2 ram channels less.

http://

The system returned but ram channels B + C are not functioning.

My ram sticks are:
3 x khx1600c9d3k3/6gx || kit of 3 @ 1.65v
&
3 x khx1600c9d3b1/4g || singles @ 1.7-1.9v

so 3 x 2gb @ 1600 1.65v & 3 x 4gb @ 1600 1.7-1.9v ( above cpu guidance )

BIOS usually gave me an average of 16gb I think. also, I was never in a need to push manual values onto the BIOS ram definitions so that the system will function, everything was done automatically.
I didn't remove the cpu and cooler from the system before all this have started to happen..

I'd love to get these channels back... this was a very expansive system when I built it and I don't think for my usage that I need to upgrade at this time really.

thanking you very much in advanced for your insight and help.

Best to you - Rami.

Well no one have bothered to reply but im sure the problem occured to many users.

I have noticed some gave advise regarding reseting the cpu as the memory controler is on it.

Non of what i did really helped to reveal the two missing channels to the bios. I was just able to use 8gb of ram on a songle channel.. out of 3.

Since the bios operated well in defining voltage to RAM - something i didnt have to bother with before - im not sure that bios replacement will not help.

I did try to clean with electric spray the cpu and if it was a cpu problem the system wouldnt come out at sll.

Ofcourse bios is well updated.

2 of 3 ram channels are lost... thats a 16 gb of potential ram that i cant use..

Hope that if one has an idea that they share it.
