Hi guys.
I ordered a combo from newegg that includes the P750GM PSU and a 3070.
I have a 6 year old FSP 700w Aurum 80+ gold non-modular PSU right now.
And I don't know which one of them I should sell.
I also don't know if I'll keep the 3070 or get a 2080ti instead.
What do you guys think?
Thanks.

Solution
Sorry to say but they're both bad. The FSP Aurum is old, and it has Group Regulation topology on the secondary side, which is not ideal for any kind of discrete GPU. The P750GM is also bad, as a recent review said it's easy to blow up the FETs on these units. If I were you I'd sell both of them and replace with something that has been approved by many reviewers.

The Aurum is old and group regulated. Not sufficient for a 3070.

Let's say I can't afford buying a new one, which one is "less worse"?

New dilemma
Used ss-860xp2 for 110$ (no warranty)
Or a new Antec HCG850 gold for 165$ ?
I ended up buying the 2080ti (might replace to a 3080/6900xt in the future), sold the P750GM and looking to sell the AU700.

I believe XP2s were out of production more than 5 years ago, which means it's at least 5 years old already. It was replaced by XP3, which was then replaced by Seasonic Prime. I'd say it is not worth it. HCG on the other hand is based on the Seasonic Focus, which is was launched recently. There is a problem though, that a version of it that comes before 2019 likes to shut itself down when using high power consumption GPUs such as the Vega 64 or 3080/3090. So make sure to get a new one not some old stock or something.

By the way, there is usually nicer options at that price range. Is that all you have?

Yeah every other decent 850w PSU is at least 30$ more.

Available reviews for the Seasonic 860 are nearly 10 years old so may not be such a good deal, especially without warranty. Get something new if possible.

Yeah this is the reason I made this post, I'll probably go for the HCG unless I'll manage to get a used HX850 for 105$
And not old or used, which is a bigger deal than $30. This is a safety part.

There's a pattern here of trying to take money from the important stuff to pay for the fun stuff. We have thousands of posts of people here regretting that. It's a club you don't want to join.
I meant 30$ more than the new HCG850

Well what can i say ..

You have two psu's you could maybe sell and seems good to spend the extra money for a better psu. Even that $30 extra.
Yeah, sold the P750GM for 115 (while I sold the 3070 for the price of the whole bundle).
Selling my AU700 for 45 and I already bought the HCG750 for 145.
Thanks for the help!
