Hey guys,

I would like to know how many fan headers the P8P67 Pro can accommodate for fan control be it within the bios or speedfan.

I am going to be using the i7 2600k, thermalright silver arrow (2x TY-140), 2x AP121, 3x AP141 and 1x AP181 as case fans.

To my knowledge the AP's are 3 pin and the TY-140s are 4 pin.

I'd like to be able to keep my system quiet at idle and provide enough airflow for when it gets hot.. SLI GTX 580s!!!

It will be in the Fractal Define XL, if need be I can use the provided 3 Fan controller but I won't have enough room for a 5.25" fan controller (NZXT Sentry 2).

Thanks in advance :)

Solution

From the P8P67 Pro manual:

CPU Fan: 1 4-pin fan header
Chassis Fan: 1 4-pin fan header; 1 3-pin fan header
Power Fan (whatever that is): 1 3-pin header

Thanks for the reply.

I can't view the PDF from my iPod so any other links would be helpful.

I just need to know if I can connect atleast 3 case fans (3pin) and the two CPU fans (4pin PWM) to the P8P67 Pro.

If not I may need to look for a different case, motherboard or a larger PCIe fan controller

Thanks.

After much debate I think I'm gonna go for an RV02B-EW... It's a bit louder than the Define XL but has much better cooling, looks nice and the concept is intriguing.

A P8P67 Pro will suffice and I can add a fan controller to the front if I wish without sacrificing cooling!

Need to find out if I can add more HDD bays, or mount some in the 5.25" with a bracket or something.

Thanks again guys :)
