I currently have the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. Needed to do some upgrading on this system, so I purchased two 8GB sticks of memory to add to the existing two 4GB sticks to make 24GB. I go to install the memory today and discover that the heatsink on this unit overhangs the slot and I cannot fit the G.Skill Ripjaws X memory into the first slot closest to the CPU.

Has anyone run into this issue with this board and this memory? And were you able to find another cooling unit that doesn't cause a problem? Thank you in advance.

Hey, I have the same setup. I love my old asus. I had the same issue. I ended up returning them and getting just 2 of a larger size dominator ram. Also, read somewhere that 2 larger sticks are faster than 4 smaller ones of the same GB, I believe it was due to how the busses are arranged in this mobo. Hope that helps
