P9x79 Pro - Can't back to default

Hi,

I have tried overclock i7 3820 on P9x79 Pro using TurboV. Now a can not go back to default settings in my bios.

I have:

- Take off motherboard battery,
- Reinstall bios,
- Clean reinstalled windows (10)

every time I'm trying to change OC settings to default, system is restarting with unstable OC settings.

I Don't know what else I can try.

Strange situation. Removing the CMOS battery should be clearing everything. How long did you remove it for, though 1 minute should suffice. What are the settings that were adjusted that won't reset?

Try removing the CPU from the socket for about a minute. It might just be a motherboard issue.

Thanks guys! I have found the problem. On the board there is switch TPU. I had to turn it on somehow. I was doing a lot of stuff lately with board. When the switch is on, the board is automaticly OC my CPU. Weird and useless really.

Forgot about those switches. That makes sense though. Glad you retraced your steps and solved your problem. For future reference, when OCing, you would want to use either switches or UEFI for adjustments, not both simultaneously.
