P9X79 Pro does not detect Sata 3gb drives in 6gb ports

Just built the system and everything works except backwords compatibility for both Sata and USB. Updated bios and all drivers. I have Win 7 64bit on one drive (Revo pci) and Win 8 64 on another Revo pci. Neither Os sees the drives and the bios does not detect them. Any thoughts?

Make sure all are enabled in your BIOS. I can assure you, unless you have a hardware problem, both the USB 3.0 and SATA3 ports are backward compatible (assuming you have the proper drivers installed and them enabled in your BIOS).

As you can see from my sig block, below, I have the same mobo.
