Pacific Fighters / IL-2 / Etc - Gunner Positions

I have a question about the bomber gunner positions. I know you can use the
"C" key to jump to each gunner position, but when I do I can't control the
guns myself. Am I missing something? I am using a TrackIR if that has
anything to do with it?

Thanks for any assistance.

The guns are controlled by the mouse and are fired by pressing the
left mouse key.

Open the controls screen in the game and find where it says "Gunner
Control". Underneath is the control for "Fire" on the left. On the
right is should say "MouseLeft"

If it doesn't, just left click twice in the space to the right. It is
easy to erase this setting by accident while setting up other keys.

Hope this helps.

HockeytownUSA,

As well as what Dave said about having the mouse mapped to fire, they are
also on "autopilot" - ya have to press A or whatever key you have mapped to
autopilot to take them off auto then you should be able to fire/turn etc.

Cheers

np :) I also suspect that before you jump to another gunner position or
back to the cockpit that you have to hit A again to reset them on autopilot
otherwise the buggers just sit there and don't shoot :-( I haven't
confirmed that yet, it's just something I've noticed from time to time when
I haven't set the auto back on the gunners, maybe others can confirm that is
the case?

Cheers

Just remember that online, unless you set Level Autopilot, the A/C
will be under no control when you switch positions.

There is a toggle for 'toggle level autopilot' in the misc section.
This will automatically do the changes necessary for you to control
the position you are in, and when you leave it automatically put it back in
autopilot
including the pilot position.

Cheers, RX
