I bought this computer as it was cheap and ive heard it can play games such as BF4. It runs them, but it isnt very smooth, is this computer available to be upgraded with better parts such as a new CPU or GPU?
It definately can not play BF4 at high settings that computer has a Geforce gt 620 which is a $50 video card not meant for heavy gaming. You should get a better video card and a power supply which can meet the needs of that card
@lobaman, BF4 plays at around 25 fps on everything low, including screen resolution, what settings roughly will i be able to play BF4 on with the 7770 installed, and get decent FPS?
Go ahead and get a 2gb and I don't know how many watts that imeda computer has on it's Psu you would have to open it up and look on the labeling youself
@lobaman i think it is a 250w psu. I am not too sure, i will check when it comes to buying the parts. So you 100% recomend for me to get a new gpu not cpu? Because i have a Nvidia app installed, but it doesnt allow me to optimize my computer due to my CPU. I am not fussed about the way the game looks, but how it runs.
Hi there, did you have any luck upgrading your iMedia S2185? I am thinking of going down a similar route if it has worked for you.
Sorry for the INCREDIBLY late reply, but i didnt end up doing anything in the end, but i am currently considering buying a new processor and graphics card if you are still searching. I have 2 options for each, and i am currently seeking help for which to choose. In total, it will come to about £200 - £250 for the upgrades, and i will link the discussion so you can get advice (that is if you still need it). http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2705517/cpu-gpu.html
