page file for 8gb 1tb hdd

I'm looking for a page file for my computer. Lately I been hearing people say to keep it at 8gb min and max which is 8192. Is that right? I'm thinking of putting it as 8192 min and 12258 max but not quite sure if that's right. The recommended says 12258. I just want smooth gameplay without the freezes.

Windows 7 64-bit
8gb (2x4) ddr3
1TB HDD
Radeon 7700 HD
i5 2320

Page file requirement is not linked to your HDD size, save for the fact that the Page file is saved on your HDD. 8GB=8192MB, if i were you i would just set windows to manage page file size automatically, provided you have at least ~10 GB free space on your drive.
Another detail is, the more RAM you have, the less page file you need.
