Hi,

I have windows 7 64 bit. Home premium I have 16 gigs of memory (Corsair) I have intel core I7 3rd gen. My question is in regards to my paging file. What should I have it custom set too. I have it set to 1024. Is that going to give the best results for me in your opinion? Could I take that down even lower. I have heard kind of mixed reviews on weather you should go with no paging file and set it to zero for the min and max. I think I did this once, and ran into problems. And should I have the paging file on a different hard drive. Or would it be better just to leave the paging file alone. And not move it? I have a ocz vector 150 120 gb

Thanks

with so much physical ram and an ssd it is unlikely that you will run out of memory so thearitically you could disable page file. however windows will require you to have some for not running into any trouble!you can set it at 400mb as it is the lowest allowed!(have it set in the ssd where the OS should be located in) i never encountered any problem ever since i have set it at 400mb. also make sure you have done all the recommended tweaks for optimal ssd performance, such disabling hibernate, disabling indexing.. etc
