It's a waste to buy two Asus VG248QE 144hz monitors if only one is going to be for gaming and the other for web browsing, right? It would just mean extra drain on my gpu, correct?

Otherwise I was thinking of just buying a second Asus VG248QE to make them match, but only one would ever be used to game.

If I should buy a 60hz or 75hz monitor to pair with my 144hz monitor does anyone have any suggestions? Im thinking of the ASUS VG245H 75hz monitor at the moment.

Any info and suggestions would be appreciated, thank you.

144hz will not put extra strain on the GPU.
1. 144hz is only the max fps the monitor can display. You see screen tearing for having higher fps on 60hz monitor.
2. Only something like e.g. games can put strain to the system. Normal usage like browsing, etc. are not.
3. You can use any monitor you like for the secondary monitor, even if you wanna have 144hz on the second monitor too.

You can not really game on 2 monitors. you do not need 2 144hz monitors. If you wanna something fancy, go for 3 144hz monitors. I dunno if your PC is strong enough to deliver enough FPS for 3x1080p tho'.
