Pairing another Memory

Just a question guys hope someone can help.

I have an old system, the RAM that i was using was a G.skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM (2Gx2) the specs is:

M/B Chipset Intel P55
CAS Latency 7-8-7-24-2N
Capacity 4GB (2GB x2)/
Speed DDR3-1600 (PC3 12800)
Test Voltage 1.6 Volts
Height 40 mm / 1.58 inch

so im planning to add extra 4 gigs of ram with the same brand but i dont know if this will still be compatible with my existing memory.

Indeed you won't have any problem for upgrading the 2 sticks you said. Check your BIOS if it automatically takes 1.6v. And if not set to 1.6.

This isn't so hassle as you are worrying. Nothing to worry about. You have chosen the correct already.


i didnt change any settings within my bios, so when you say i have to adjust the voltage, i have to adjust the voltage for to 1.6v or 1.5 volts?
