Paladin sometimes won't fight

Sometimes my Paladin character won't fight. She just stands there letting
monsters beat on her. I have to double click on the monster to get her to
fight.

Is there anything I need to do to correct this?

It's not just paladins. Target switching is kind of buggy. Has been for
years. You pretty much just have to activate your combat on each new foe
by actively clicking on each new monster in war mode.

Thanks for your reply. This is sometimes hard to do if there are a several
foe gathered around you and you are on a horse. I already got 2 houses
killed because I accidentally double clicked the horse instead of the
monster.

Yeah, that's a pain. What I do is drag up health gumps for any
approaching monsters and dbl click on those to make sure I'm attacking
what I want.

I gave up Illshenar a few days after the paragon patch. None of the minor
artifacts are interesting to me, at least until that Heart of Lion plate
gets added. I'll probably just buy that anyhow. Less grief.

On the plus side, all the normal dungeons are less busy these days.

Aside from Shame, i've never really done much in the dungeons, though i do hunt
the liches in Covetous pretty regularly, and the rotting corpses on the level
below when there isn't a WW backed tamer hunting them...

Hythloth had too much trash spawn for my tastes, and Destard is a nice change
of pace and a good challenge, good place to work my healing magic, too...plenty
of ghosts around the dragon dens. :}

*I've only recently started visiting Despise, great training dungeon...Wrong
needs another revamp, the Juka are just getting old...and i've never even been
to Deceit, but it sounds like a great vacation spot...*
