Palamino 1700+ some questions

So I thought I was getting a Tbred B 1700+, but instead I got a Pally 1700+. I also have on the way an Abit NF7-S, CPU FAN|HHC-001 PURE COPPER (AMD/INTEL), and 2 Giel PC2700 256MB DDR. I will be running my current 9500 NP graphics card and a 40GB WD harddrive. I have a 16X DVD and a 52x24x52 burner, 3.5" floppy, USB mouse, and a keyboard. These are all powered off of the 350W PSU (which provides 3.3V@28A, 5V@30A, and 12V@15A).


My concern is 2 fold. first what kind of overclock can I expect from this pally on aircooling? I am hoping for around 1.9 - 2.0 ghz, possible?(I would like to be around 175MHZ FSB which is 11*175 = 1925 even if it takes 1.85Vcore). Next is this PSU going to be okay for the power requirements of this overclock for a couple of months? (anyone have that link that shows typical power consumption of devices?) I plan to get a Antec 550W as soon as I can afford it, but a 4x4 vehicle comes first.

I think it's pretty hard to get an Palomino running at 2Ghz, the fastest Palomino is running at 1733Mhz
for the FSB, if you can go up to ~150Mhz with Palomino, i think you should be happy

Well unless you got a very good core stepping 1.9 GHz is as good as unreachable. However 166 MHz FSB might be possible, but you need to unlock the multiplier for that to decrease the total CPU speed.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM 😱

I had a Palamino 1700+, and my mobo for some strange reason, it unlocked the multiplier, so i was able to push it to 12.5* and 158FSB.

I hate Computers!

Well hi all.
My sistem is 1600+ @ now 1900+.QDI Kinetiz 7e-a(KT 133)
1 memory module Wiking 256 cas 3 SDRAM
2 tristar 128 cas 3 SDRAM
3 vm 128 cas 3 SDRAM

Of curse home unlocked with wires and soldering thru microscop(take me 3 hours).

Tested (10.5 original),multipler to 166 fsb as 2100+ ,nonstable 1.80v. 69! or hier! celsius.

2000+ Unlocked 12.5 multipler.133 Fsb 1.80v,
64 celsius.Nonstable

Now-stable as a rock! At last.

1900+ 12x multipler,133 Fsb plus 1.80 lowered to 1.71v. Max 48 celsius.
Now 33 celsius.

And i use wpcredit and wpcrset to hack nordbridge memory area registers to get hier speed.985 mb/s to 1005 mb/s.

Get Toast.exe small burn in stress cpu utilty.
