that wattage is too small (too near with ur usage)
better get a new PSU too, and u can add few more bucks for the Ti version, it's much better
but that is the problem with 7040 MT.
theres no standard power supply that can fit into the case.
i really can't recommend u getting a new GPU with a power supply that low.... anytime u hit that limit, u might cost ur PC, and that means even more money...
what do u mean. please explain. because as far as i know the gpu only consume 75W on the motherboard. Please help.
well u see, the recommended wattage for that GPU is actually 400w (300w at the very least if u had some high quality PSU) this was checked in an I5 system, now imagine u're now using an I7, 8 GB RAM and SSD....
while the total will not reach 250W, a PSU actually had some sort of efficiency, let's say it's 80%, meaning if u pull the whole 250W, the PSU will need to pull an extra 20%, meaning it will pull out 300W, if ur PSU can't handle it, it might short-circuit and died, with the possibility of breaking your other components too
or at least, that's what i understand from reading in some blogs
