Hello,

I recently bought a new Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Dual OC 4GB GDDR5, but I have trouble connecting it to my monitor - http://www.tekheads.co.uk/product/216in-LED-HKC-2212-1920x1080-VGA-DVI-Black-2ms-Widescreen-HD-TFT-Monitor_39963.html

I had an old VGA to HDMI cable that used to work fine on my old GPU, but it's not working on the 1050ti. I hooked it to a different monitor which has HDMI (with HDMI-HDMI cable) and everything worked perfectly.

What type of cable should I purchase that will connect my new GPU to the monitor?

Solution
I hate to do it but I'm going to amend my previous answer. You *MAY* need a DVI cable. I can't tell from the link you poster on the monitor what KIND of DVI it has. Hopefully, it's DVI-I which can use analog OR digital DVI. if this is the case, a DVI-D to DVI-D cable will work. If it's a DVI-A connector, you may be out of luck. I think this would be REALLY rare on a LCD panel, though.
Check this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface
Then compare it to what is on your monitor. what is on the Video is Dual-Link DVI or DVI-I.

good luck!

My monitor seems to have a DVI-I (Dual Link) port. I'm in on my way to the store for a DVI-D cable, so I can finally start playing on my new setup.
Thank you so much for helping me sort this mess out.

/Cheers
